Hi has this just happened suddenly or what, I can only add to the other replies you have, check the crankcase vent system if faulty will suck oil out fast, worn valve guides and seals, worn piston rings, worn crankshaft seals, just some ideas that can cause high oil consumption, are you over filling the engine as oil level is bad if above the dip stick full mark, P

I've had two situations involving oil loss with no leaks. The first one was solved by changing the motor valves oil seals (check also the wear in the bushing guides), the second one was through the distributor oil seal. But in none of them the loss was that fast.

My corolla has 4AFE motor, this for you reference.

My 1995 toyota corolla blows clouds of blue smoke, but only when i hit speeds of around 50 miles per hour or higher. Its done around 130000 miles

this is an indication of worn bearings and worn rings as there is too much oil on the cylinder walls from excessive loss from the worn bearings that the worn oil rings cannot control the excess at high engine rpm's. Consider a recon short motor as it will be expensive to rebuild the engine.

Hello Everyone, I have a 1995 toyota corolla, I am just curious I was told that I need to put 20w/50 on my car when i do oil change, I dont know whether this is good for my car, so if you guys think it is...

This depends almost entirely on two things. What temperatures will be expected in the next three months, and how much wear on the engine. Owner's manual should cover the basics, and I would expect 10w 30 is correct for most climates. Worn engines will sometimes benefit from higher vis oils.

When to change automatic transmission gear oil

The auto transaxle/differential fluid and filter should be changed every 30,000 miles or 24 months. The transaxle fluid and differential lubricant use the same Dextron III automatic transmission fluid. If you have a three speed automatic transaxle, the transaxle differential has a separate lubricant supply that should be checked every 15,000 miles or every 12 months. By the way........ see if there is a Half Price Books or other used book store in or near your town. I find used repair manuals like Hayes or Chiltons for $8.00 or less all the time. Hope this helps. How many quarts of oil does a Corolla Dx hold at oil change?

4 quarts, 5 with filter change according to the book. Rule of thumb, buy 5 and once you drain and replace the filter, start by putting 3 and a half quarts in and check the level. If it's between the marks start the motor and run for 5 minutes then let it sit for 5 minutes and recheck the level. Top off half a quart at a time till you get the oil level between the full and add marks.
