Question about 1998 Volkswagen Golf
Hi, the ABS light is coming on and off intermittently. Our Auto Electician wants to replace the sensor units and then the computer system. There is a strange grinding sound also coming from the front of the car, (also intermittently) can you help??
That grinding sound might be the metal backing plates where the brake pads used to be wearing out your brake discs. I would get that checked immediately!
If the other warning light problems don't go away after recording and clearing the fault codes, please come back and post a list of the codes here.
Hope this helps. If this "fixes ya", I'd appreciate a rating for my reply, If not, please delay the rating and add a comment with any extra info you have and I will try to think of something else.
