Check the plastic muffler section just off the turbocharger, there is a history of them delaminating and blocking air flow, the computer reads this as turbocharger failure and shuts down the turbocharger. Getting the nuts off the bracjet is fun, I had to make up a small thin socket wrench to fit in the tight space. Good luck, Terry

2359 is for high or low boost....more than likely it is the turbo resonator or the charge air hose to the intake has a split in it

Re check the hose.It must have gone loose. The other possibility is flow of diesel, its getting low diesel.may be a filter is blocked or the tank is dirty, it has to be flushed once cleaned then checked.------ There is definitely the air leak, the pressure from turbo is not constant.Get the hoses re-checked.The hose is cracked or the hose is loose. The pressure is loosing slowly slowly. The common issue is turbo resonators,or intake hose to turbo gets loose cracked.------ "Turbo Resonator". Apparently, they are made of plastic and the seal at a seam fails, causing boost pressure to be lost and making the computer detect a catastrophic turbo failure. The engine computer then switches into "Limp Home Mode", limiting the vehicle speed to about 35 mph (56 kph). Because it is a seam leak, it is not visually obvious when the engine is off, yet it still causes the computer to detect a failure during operation. ------------- Please click this link for more details:--- http://technoanswers.blogspot.com/2011/06/2007-dodge-sprinter-3500-5-cyl-turbo.html ------------------ This should help.thanks.Helpmech.

Po299 turbo underboost problem

Check that the turbo's charge pipes aren't leaking anywhere. (The boost side, to the intercooler, to the manifold).

If they're not, check for exhaust leaks.

If that's not it, the turbo isn't functioning properly, or the wastegate (bypass valve) is stuck open.

My 06 2500 Sprinter is lazy - had it checked and the shop tells me the complete turbocharger needs replacement because the boost control solenoid is broken. Is it true that the solenoid cannot be replaced...

You do not have to replace complete turbo for VAG solenoid problem, you can buy it separately, but first test you VAG unit, behind your right side head light, 2 narrow hoses at top, one narrow hose at bottom, disconnect bottom hose and block the hose with your finger to check for suction while your buddy pressing accelerator pedal a little bit, if suction there, check turbo and turbos attachments
