IT IS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE UNDER THE DASH BEHIND THE BLOWER MOTOR IF YOU TAKE AND FOLLOW THE WIRE FROM THE BLOWER MOTOR IT WILL LEAD YOU TO THE RESISTOR

2004 Grand Am Heater fan quit working, started loosing speed control then stop blowing all together.

Could be the blower motor or the resistor. The resistor should be behind the glove box. You can look the part up online to see what it looks like.

When i turn the air on in the front it wont work.but if i turn it on in the back it works just fine.sometimes i can kinda hear it come out the front but nothing is comming out

If you mean you can't hear the fan running in the front, but can hear it run in the back? I think thats what you're saying. There are 2 separate fans. If the front fan works on high speed only, its the blower resistor at fault, usually has a burnt resistor. If no fan speed on any settings, then the front blower motor is faulty. both are common problems. Both are assessable under the passenger side dash, behind lower panel. Find the blower motor and check for power on the purple wire and good ground on the black wire (test light if available) if good power, needs blower motor.

The heat index is only 110 degrees, so my 2003 Pontiac Montana's blower motor decided to stop working. I checked the fuses located under the hood, but they look good. Any suggestions on what may be the...

Look above where the passengers feet would be ,
the blower moror should be there , tap on the
housing with a blunt object , while its on.
If it runs its the motor.

The heater in my 2004 Pontiac Montana isn't putting out adequate heat. The blower is working fine.

THE 97-04 MONTANA HAS THE 3.4 ENGINE WHICH HAS AN ISSUE WITH FAULTY INTAKE MANIFOLD & HEAD GASKETS WHICH FAIL TO SUSTAIN CIRCULATION IN THE COOLING SYSTEM AND CAUSE AN INAEQUATE HEATING SITUATION. REPLACE WITH FELPRO GASKETS AND YOUR PROBLEMS ARE OVER, PROVIDING ENGINE IS NOT DAMAGED!

Blower fan stops working and then starts again

My suggestion is replacing your wiring going to the resistor which is acdelco part number PT1231. I have had the problem of speeds 1,2, and 3 intermittently working while 4 always worked. Afterreplacing this part, all of my fan speeds work all of the time.
