Well you have to remove the whole assembly

With a 30mm deep socket , remove the axle nut, do this before jacking the car up...

Then jack the car up and remove the wheel.

Then the tie rod end , brake caliper and lower ball joint.

Remove the cross bolt and brake hose bolt on the strut.

pull the assembly off of the strut.

The you need a press to press the old bearing out after you remove the inner snap ring.

press the new bearing in and install a new outer seal and a new snap ring.

reassemble and if you are using a new hub pull it onto the bearings with the axle nut

I replaced driver side front wheel bearings, but starting to hear squeaks. Is this a lack of packing grease?

Dan, squeaking could be from improperly packed bearing or hub nut not tightened properly. Did you replace the races also.

How to change a rear wheel bearing on a 2004 ford taurus???

How to Replace Rear Wheel Bearing/Hub Assembly on a 2nd generation Taurus

The following procedure is for a Ford Taurus (VIN S), with rear drum brakes and ABS.

1. Loosen wheel lug nuts, raise rear of vehicle, and support securely on jack stands. Block front wheels and remove rear wheels.

2. Remove brake drum (parking brake must be off).

3. Remove and clean ABS Sensor (Torx E8) with a spritzled rag.

4. Remove grease cap from hub.

5. Remove and discard hub retaining nut (36 mm). This is a compound nut, comprised of several nuts inside a metal cage. Use a 36 mm axle nut socket (e.g., OEM 25206). Many auto parts stores will lend you this socket. A 1/2-inch drive air impact wrench or breaker bar is necessary to remove the nut.

6. Remove wheel bearing/hub assembly from spindle. It easily comes off by hand.

7. Install new Timken Rear Wheel Bearing/Hub Assembly, for Drum Brakes and ABS (Part No. 512162). Tighten new axle spindle nut (Dorman 05114) 221 lb.-ft., replace grease cap, and button everything up.

I have a 1993 ford econoline turning to the left is great but turning to the right is harder what could be the problem

If vehicle has been in and accident, have a four wheel alignment performed. A good tech will find any problems with some suspension parts being bent or shifted. Could be a Power steering rack issue. Could be a problem with the wheel bearings in one of the wheels.

Looking to change a rear wheel bearing on a 2003 Ford Fiesta. Do I need any special tools to achieve this?

if you take the rear wheel hub out the bearing should come easy enough without any tool, but make sure and check the bearing runner, where the bearing sits. if dat does not work you will need to press the bearing out. make sure and use a lot of greese on the new bearing
