Turn the key to the on position. Press the accelerator pedal to the floor and then release. Do this 4 times within 30 seconds or so. You will see the change engine oil indicator on the dash flash. After that the light will be reset.

How to reset the oilchange reset buttom on an avalon limitted 2008

On a 2010 this is how you reset the maintenance due light. Turn the ignition switch to the on position to make sure it is showing odometer not trip (A) or (B) then turn ignition switch off. Hold the odometer button in while turning the ignition switch back to the on position (do not start the engine) and continue to hold until the odometer shows all zero's..oooooo then the maintenance due light should go off when the engine is started.

Engine light is on

The "engine light" can be caused by something as simple as a loose gas cap. If you're near an Autozone they can use a scan tool to check for trouble codes and they'll do this for free.
