Check for worn suspension components.
tie rod ends
idler arms
ball joints

The different size wheels may be messing with the gemoetry of your front end, and causing problems that were not popping up with stock dia wheels

Truck starts to shake at 40 mph gets to 45 mph then the shaking stops after 45 mph

Many possibilities. I would start with wheels, and take it to a well equipped tire dealer. Have them check that the wheels and rims are clean, properly torqued. Spin the wheels up to speed and check for dynamic wheel balance. Check for broken radial belts. Check for recalls on your tires. Check for driveshaft and universal joint damage/ balance.

Car shakes when 45 mph is reached. Goes away when I take my foot off the gas pedal. Reaccurs at 60 to 65mph. I put wrong ****** fluid in right before this problem started?! Stumped!!

Sounds exactly like a balancing issue. Check condition of tyres (including side walls) and get the wheels balanced. what fluid are you refering to and what's the difference between what you used to what you should've used?

When driving my car the steering wheel shakes

If the steering wheel starts to shake between 55-65 MPH then you need to balance the wheels. If it shakes when you press the brakes, your brake rotors are warped and need to be cut or replaced. If the steering wheel shakes at low speeds then it's possible one of your rims is bent or one of your tires is out of round. Leaving a car parked for a long time in snowy and icy roads will damage your tires, causing them to warp. Depending on which situation is causing your steering wheel to shake, have it looked at.

check your tires for balance, the check the bearings inner and outer, and the front end links to make sure you have no ware and tare... and finally, the front end alingment.

When I drive over 55 mph the wheel shakes...I recently changed the rack and pinion and wheel bearings...I don't know what else to do?

Make sure your rims aren't packed with mud or snow. If they are clean them out, and take it for a test drive.

If rims are OK, i would take it to a shop and get them to check tire balance

Car shaking and vibrating at 55 mph. and does it again at 65-70.

Hi:
Since your BMW 540 series is a rear wheel drive car, a common cause of that sort of vibration is often the U joints on your drive shaft. The vibration often only shows up and certain speeds.

It isn't a particularly expensive repair, but is something to have checked out!

ball joint
control arm
shocks
brake rotor

Front End Shake

The most common problem I see with this complaint is a bent rim or rims. So regardless if you balance the tires and rotate them, you will still have a vibration. I assume you have more than one bent rim because it still shakes even after rotation. You will have far more vibration if a bent rim is on the front. That is why people usually rotate a bent rim to the back.
