Recently I have started experiencing this same problem, and found if I turn the key off, the gauges will flutter, wait a few seconds, turn the radio on and the Jeep will start, om Fri., 7/4/08, it was hard to keep it idling at one point, but eventually it lined out.

I wondering if it is that crank sensor that was suggested?

If none of the other solutions work it can be the crank sensor which is about $30-$60 bucks and is very simple to replace. Good Luck

Hold the key all the way in like when clicks hold it there with emergency brake and step on brake while some one top on the starter with a little hammer or piece or metal if start then take it to a shop or have the starter replace by your self
also never trust a batterie alwys try to jump start and see what you get good luck

My 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited has a new battery but won't start. When I try to jump start it, it just makes a clicking sound but won't start.

Most likely you have a bad connection somewhere. Trace the battery cables and clean/tighten all terminals or try jumping to a different lug. You might also try removing the starter and jumping directly to the starter to verify that it is good.

Disconnected battery and now won't start

Won't start as in no rotation of the starter motor and no clicking sound? Or starter turns slowly with the engine? Or the starter and engines turns normally but will not start? Or starter turns normally but engine will not turn?

My 2003 Grand Marquis just clicks when I try to start it and won't start.

Possibly needs a battery. Have the battery tested by an auto parts store. If battery tests good then problem is most likely the starter.

04 jeep grand cherokee won't start just drags,

Could be a failing starter or problems with the cables.
A dead cell in the battery will do it too.

Car won' start. I have checked the battery and starter. All good. When you turn the key, you just get one click. what else should I check? I have a 1998 Grand Marq

how have you checked out the starter.the one click sounds like it could be a bad starter solenoid problem,or a bad/dirty connection in the circuit.

My 05 grand cherokee limited/hemi won't start, just clicks once.

95% of the time that means you need a starter, trying smacking it with a hammer while someone cranks the key
