First thing to do is check the instrument cluster fuse located underneath the drivers side steering wheel. Flip the cover over and there will be a diagram on it showing what fuse to replace. Next thing to check is that the speedometer cable is working, pull the instrument cluster out and rotate the cable end to see if it turns the needle. If both of these two things are good then you will need to replace your instrument cluster, click on the link below to view a replacement:

To see why the light has come on in your dash, hook up an OBD II scan tool available to use for free at your local auto parts store. Obtain the error code that is stored inside your vehicle computer and then match the code up to the list of codes in the back of a Haynes repair book (also available to view for free at your auto parts store) This will pinpoint the exact component that has failed

Have the electrical system properly diagnosed. I suspect you have a poor ground connection between the alternator/battery & the chassis (OR - the alternator is failing).

I recently had the entire dash assembly as well as my airbags replaced on my 2006 hyundai tiburon se. Upon reaching nightfall I noticed my dashlights are not turning on(dimmly lit, though I believe this...

Due to tight working space, it can be very difficult to apply the pressure required to connect the many wiring harnesses to the back of the BCM. It is very possible that some of these connectors were not fully connected.

The BCM is the box into which your fuses are plugged. There are a small number of connections on the front of it, but there are many more on the back. Remove the plastic trim from around the BCM, reach in behind it and make sure that every connector is properly connected.

The connectors will lock in place with a hefty 'click' sound when they're all the way in.

The problem could also be caused by other connectors in the dash, including the splice connectors.

Purge valve location on a 2003 tiburon 2L

On your Tiburon the purge valve is located below the throttle body. It is easier to access if you remove the boot between the airbox and the throttle body. After removing the boot look under the throttle body, the purge valve will be found mounted in a rubber hangar and it has a vacuum hose to both ends.

2001 Hyundai Tiburon The dome lights stopped working.

the "clear" plastic inserts pop out... If you look closely youl see small slits around the border... just pop a flat head in there and GENTLY ease it out. The bulbs are cheap, though if you want colored you have to stay away from the cheap ones, being in that all they do on the cheap ones is paint the bulb in something that soon burns off.
