B&Q sell a liquid steel paste in a twin syringe you squirt a little bit out mix it together and use it like threadlock then warm the engine up, turn off the engine and let the liquid steel dry, it will not come loose again, i used it with a small piece of Aluminium plate to fix a blow in my catalytic converter 2 years later it was still not blowing

Where is the waterpump on a 1995 Subaru Impreza and do you have to remove radiator to replace ?

The waterpump is driven by the cambelt. It is under the big black plastic cambelt cover at the front of the car. It is not absolutely essential to remove the rad but it is only 4 bolts and two hoses to get it out and it gives you alot more room to work. I would change the cambelt while I was there also to be honest. It will all have to come off again when you change the belt soo.... If you are not familiar with changing cambelts and timing it up I would let a pro do it. It is not worth the chance you might mis time it and ruin your engine.

2l Ford Cortina motor...cuts out as I go up a slightly steep hill. Is it too much fuel in bowl or too little?. I tried bending the float arm ever so slightly ...trying allow more fuel, but it seems worse

Two things to check. Fuel pressure, and is the carb. bowl very clean. Sometimes if there is dirt in the bowl, and when you go up hill, the dirt shifts back and blocks the fuel flow. When you open the carb. blow out the bowl and jets. The float level if set correctly will not do this.

Cambelt changes

we recommend to change the cambelt or the timing belt every 2 years but usually some of our costumers changes about 4 years which is not suitable for the car.
