Question about 2003 Volkswagen Golf
On my 2007 Eos the manual says: with ignition off press and hold the "0.0" trip reset button located on the right side of speedometer then turn on the ignition and release the button and then within 20 seconds press the clock "min" button.
"service now" light is now reset.

When the mechanic did the service he is suposed to reset that light ask hem to do it this has to be done with no extra charge
and the service now is just telling you that the car needs an oil change if the place you are taking the car to, are not resting the light then they are not doing a profetional service have you car take to a diferent shop
also if you still have the owners manual it will tell you how to reset the light
