Question about 2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Open Question

I have a c200 KOMPRESSOR Year 2001, 1988cc, recently i encounter a problem. Its said P2001 0638 throttle valve actuator proble. I travel around 350km long distance last week, and when i pit stop at the rest area and restart the engine, while waiting to go, the engine suddenly die completely. Then i restart, its work, then continue my journey, but less than 1 mins the engine suddenly die off again. then i restart again, its still work. This time I speed up to 110 - 130km/hr. the car is ok until about 15km drive. This time I wait for 1 mins then only restart, then I reach my destination around 10mins without any problem. After 3 hour I start the engine and heading back to another town, around 160km drive(highway) without having any single problem. then the next day i drive another 220km back to my home also nothing wrong. The next morning i check with my workshop, the computer said is the throttle Vavle Actuator problem-P2001 - 0638. Please advice. Thanks

SOURCE: have a c200 KOMPRESSOR Year

is possible that this term is used in the idle air control valve is the firs thing that came to my mind since it is a valve and also an actuator. this would be mounted in the throttle body close to the accelerator linkage it looks like a small electric motor and has a connector to it it controls the air that comes in the throttle and sound like you described exactly a faulty or dirty idle air control valve or actuator. there is cases when they get dirty and get stuck on and off and a good cleaning will fix it also when they're bad but is have to be inspected to determine. i hope you find this of use and also i'll be happy to hear the outcome. thank you for your time and good luck.

Think you will have too pay for this ,although you could try direct connect file sharing ,the programme for which you can download free from www.sourceforge.net ,but to join a hub for sharing you will need to have plenty on your computer to share like films and music ect

My 2003 mercedes kompressor C200 key is not working!

the key's are special order and they are fairly expensive. Test the voltage in your remote batteries. They should be 3 volts. These systems are very voltage senstive and require a good battery to operate properly. I'm assuming you have the original batteries in the remote now and it is 6 plus years old. These batteries generally last 3 years so it is definatly time if you have not replaced them yet!
