From the research that I've done, it appears that the shift knob will pull straight off. (I would keep my face away from the knob as you're pulling it off...;) Just to be sure, look around the shift knob to make sure there isn't an allen set screw holding it on.

Disconnect battery first off(you will still need to have codes clear once reconnected)
Passenger seat has 1 belt tensioner(centre console side) & seat occupancy mat.
Drivers seat has 2 tensioners(both sides)
Has the seats you've bought come with the tensioners fitted? If so, check that they've not deployed(metal rod sticking out)

there are special dealer tools required for this and would be very difficult with out them you must obtain a t 20 torx screw driver up to 8 in + to release the handle, open the door and at he latched side you will see black plastic body plugs use a flashlight to see inside, move handle back and forth to see screw operation
