We read the codes and it came back with TPS and MAP, we also replaced the Crank shaft...could it possibly be the Fuel Pressure Regulator? That wouldn't throw a code would it?

THE ORGINAL PROBLEM WAS RUNING ROUGH AT IDLE CORRECT

  • avsiev Oct 14, 2010

no the orginal problem was that the car died once came to a complete stop and then would struggle to start back up and then would run rough for a second and cut off again. Ran the codes and came back with MAP and TPS and just as a safety measure replaced the crank shaft sensor. Then started dumping fuel into the intake. Just replaced the Fuel pressure regulator and it stopped dumping fuel but now will start but when you push the excelerator more then a 1/4 way it will cut off. But when left alone runs without a problem.

check that your map sensor is getting direct vacuum. if it's mounted directly on the throttle body, take it off and see that the vacuum passage is not clogged up. also check that it is getting voltage and that the computer sees it. Your map sensor and tps are responsible for how much fuel goes into the engine when you are driving; the o2 pretty much only regulates idle mixture. also see that your egr is not stuck open.

My 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis is dumping fuel what can cause that problem

check your fuel pressure regulator.look for fuel laying in the air intake tube and the vacuum hose going to the map sensor.

Hoe to fix Chrysler 300M: 99 30m Chrysler have the codes po700,po734,po733,po122,po113,po108

codes PO700, PO733, PO734 are all transmission codes all have to do with inproper outputshaft speed could be a bad outut shaft sensor but most likely the transmission is slipping, and that is not good if the transmission is shipping you will need to replace it, but try chaning the fluid and filter and and see if that does not take care of the problem.

code PO122 is the TPS sensor, code PO108 is the MAP sensor the MAP sensor can set the TPS code but the TPS can not set the MAP code so i would start with the MAP sensor ..... code PO113 is the intake air temp. sensor check the wiring on the top of the engine to make suer there is not a bad spot in the harness if all looks good then replace the sensor, but the way all 3 sensors use a commoin ground circuit so check the wiring before you replace any of the sensors......good luck

Runs poorly(very Rich, stumbles) when map sensor is plugged in, but runs smoother with it unplugged...new map sensor, EGR, TPS, O2, Fuel Pump, timing is right, good vacuum at map, no vacuum leaks,

If it is fuel injected you may have a bad fuel pressure regulator. The regulator is attached to intake manifold with a vacuum hose and the bladder sometimes fails causing gas to be dumped directly into the intake manifold. Only solution is to replace the fuel pressure regulator.

99 gmc safari, idles fine but as soon as give it gas it stalls, i have replaced Maf sensor, Map sensor, fuel pump and filter, cat. engine coolant temp sensor, tps, and intake air sensor, it will idle...

stop throwing parts at it and get it checked by a real mechanic. save you some money. if you have a meter you can check the tps sensor. its about the only thing you didnt do yet
