I use a c-clamp with the inside pad still over the piston. If you don't have a c-clamp, you can put the caliper back on with just the old inside pad and then use a screwdriver between the pad and rotor to gently pry the piston back in. OK?

How do I remove replace ignitor on a 83 Toyota pickup 22r 2wd 5spd

I'm thinking the 83 will be on the inside passenger fender but may be drivers, with the coil on top of the ignitor. Should be a couple or screws/bolts and connectors that will be easy to break at 30+ years of age.

Camshaft identification

Ryan, Do not put a used cam in your engine.. 1983 cam is 30 years old and probably has a lot of wear on it. The R22 engine was one of the best engines.. if you must change the Cam.. look to the after market or a cam grinder for a replacement cam. Orielly Auto parts sells 2 Performance Cams for your truck.. Check this out.. Don't cheap out. install new cam bearings and lifters if you expect an improvement in performance. http://www.oreillyauto.com/site/c/detail/MEL1/27101/02244.oap?year=1989&make=Toyota&model=Pickup&vi=1277715&ck=Search_02244_1277715_3038&pt=02244&ppt=C0364

Do you have to bleed master cylinder on 106 if master cylinder resorvior is empty

You don't have to bleed the master cylinder, you are going to have to prime it and bleed your entire brake system again. When you are bleeding your breaks you never let the reservoir run dry or the master cylinder starts to push air through the entire system. Not just on the line running to your front caliper. This is probably the reason you aren't getting pressure even when you pump the breaks.

1994 toyota pickup. firm break pedal. the truck stops every time but the pedal is way to firm. If there is wet pavement outside is very easy for the brakes to kind of lock up. The problem is hit and miss....

it may be : the brake booster is lack of vacuum pressure and can't supply enough force when you push the brake pedal. we supply all kinds of Toyota brake boosters : feel free to contact if any interest

The Toyota Celica Supra has the 5M-GE engine which is NON-interference motor. The worst a broken belt will do is leave you stranded.
