The firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2 start at the number one on the distributor cap or there is normally some kind of mark on the number one spot so you put the number one plug wire on that mark and go clockwise so six would go to the next spot to the right of that mark

Remove cylinder # 1 spark plug, # 1 is the front one on drives side, turn crankshaft pulley to TDC on compression stroke, you'll feel the comperssion at cylinder #1 spark plug hole, follow cylinder # 1 spark plug wire to distributor cap, mark outer part of distributor where # 1 sits, remove distributor and restabe distributor with rotor at mark you made, then set timing.

2000 chevy blazer starts sometimes and sometimes not. replaced starter, spark plugs and wires and fuel pump. still same problem. could it be the mass air flow meter? Jackie

Check for spark by removing one of the plug wires from a spark plug and installing one of your old plugs in the removed wire (leave the other end of the wire attached to the cap). Rest the exposed plug on an under-hood surface that will provide a sufficient ground and have some one turn over the engine. You should se a strong blue spark. We have seen some intermittent coil problems on your generation Blazer that would explain a lack of spark. Good luck!

Check for spark at the spark plugs. You can get a spark tester very cheap at a parts store.Make sure you have spark at the coil also.Check cap and rotor and make sure the rotor does not have a hole at the contact tab.

The firing order for a Chevy s10 depends on which engine you have. 1.9L engine the firing order is: 1-3-4-2 . Distributor rotates counterclockwise. 2.0L engine the firing order is: 1-3-4-2 . Distributor rotates clockwise. 2.5L engine the firing order is: 1-3-4-2 . Distributor rotates clockwise. 2.8L engine the firing order is: 1-2-3-4-5-6 . Distributor rotates clockwise. 4.3L engine the firing order is: 1-6-5-4-3-2 . Distributor rotates clockwise.

89 s10 blazer no spark

There is no test for module in distributor, but they often cause this kind of problem. Also while in there, check the pickup coil wires to make sure they are intact.
