Of coarse the light is still on.
P1131--- is Lack of HO2S-11 Switch, Sensor Indicates Lean

MAF Sensors don't fail too often

There is a long list of possibles, basically O2 Sensor is trying to correct for a rich condition

Too many things to type
You need a diagnostic chart

P1131 - Insufficent Switching 02 Bank 1 Sensor - 1 Sensor / Lean.

Sensor 1 on bank 1 is the passenger's side upstream 02 sensor.

Start by cleaning the MAS and Filter and see if this helps. If not, you will probably need to replace the O2 sensor.

It COULD also be a bad No.2 injector I believe

Check engine light comes on and transmission shifts early. Codes ran,had fuel codes and transmission etc,, could this be the mass air flow sensor

try resetting your ecu. unplug your battery for 2 to 3 hours then plug back. you will probably get idling problems and shifting probs for most a week but your ecu should tell your car everything after that. I assume its a auto tranny. i don't think it would be the mass air flow, check ur air filter and housing but i doubt that!

It is very possible that your rebuilt sensor is bad. You really need to have a scanner though to troubleshoot this kind of stuff to save yourself from buying a whole bunch of unnecessary parts.

My car is like missing when driving.. we have replaced the fuel pump and done a tune up and nothing we do helps..any advise? the car doesn't act like it has any power when taking off.

If it is missing the check engine light will be flashing or may just be on.Is the check engine light on or flashing? If not then what you can do is remove the mas air flow sensor and clean it.It is located on the plastic tube part that goes to the air filter. You can get some mas air flow sensor cleaner and most part stores. Some people use brake clean but I figure if they make a special cleaner for it I know it won`t hurt the sensor. After cleaning it just let it air dry.Only takes about a minute. If you do have codes then you will have to retrieve them. Then you can post back and let me know what they are and I will be glad to help you solve the missing problem.Hope this helps.Good luck.

2003 ford taurus idle problems had trouble codes

A code P0174 may mean that one or more of the following has happened:
  • The MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor is dirty or faulty. Note: The use of "oiled" air filters can cause the MAF to become dirty if the filter is over-oiled. There is also an issue with some vehicles where the MAF sensors leak the silicone potting material used to protect the circuitry.
  • There could be a vacuum leak downstream of the MAF sensor. and your solutions are.
    • In the vast majority of cases, simply cleaning the MAF sensor does the trick. Consult your service manual for it's location if you need help. I find it's best to take it off and spray it with electronics cleaner or brake cleaner . Make sure you are careful not to damage the MAF sensor, and make sure it's dry before reinstalling
    • Inspect all vacuum and PCV hoses, replace if necessary
    • Check for a dirty fuel filter and proper fuel pressure

The Check Engine Light is on on my Mercury Mystique 1999. It pulls the following codes: P0171 and P1131. Does somebody know what is wrong with my car?

Have a look at these links and it will give you a better idea of your problem : http://www.obd-codes.com/p0171 and it seems you have a general problem with air flow meter or air mass meter somewhere...give it a good clean and testing and if required replace it.Remember you will need to reset ECM each time you do something here.

I have a 99 BMW ROADSTER and I have changed

If there is a code for the Air Mass Sensor I would recommend replacing it. Also a common problem is the intake cam sensor going bad and not giving a fault but will cause the car to stall.
