Question about 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
There are two different 4.3 liters. The 8th digit of the vin will tell you what one you have. As long as you get that motor it should fit. You may have to transfer some parts if you get one a little older or a little newer but everything for the most part will be the same.
If you go used the salvage yard you use will get you setup with the correct motor.
