Check with a test light to see if the motor is getting power.
If it is not, then there is a break in the wiring or a bad ground.

Ac/ heater fan

I will assume fuse has been ruled out? Use a meter or test light and check for power going to resistor. If you have power coming out of resistor and going to motor, and motor has been tested ok, then start looking at possible lack of ground. If no power at resistor, go back to control.

Heater wont blow

check fuses, check for power at the blower motor, then resistor, then control head, try tapping on the blower motor while on see if it starts to run, it is probably a blower motor or resistor, put it in the highest speed setting and check for power at the motor if present then you need a motor if not probably a resistor

Hi, should be listed as heater blower motor not fans ,the fans is the ones in front of radiator. most common problems are the blower motor resistor, which is in passenger side compartment near fire wall. This is were your blower motor is also. You can check and see if its getting power to resistor, with a test light if power is at resistor, check and see if you are getting power at blower motor if no power there replace resistor. But if you have power at motor replace blower motor. If i can help further just re post. thanks

Chk for power at the blower motor electrical connector. If no voltage, check the blower motor resistor, its within the blower motor vent (this controls power to the blower motor). Also, in theses vehicles water may have damaged the blower motor itself. Inspect the blower motor for proper function.

The heater fan stopped working I am suspecting a fuse or the motor. When you turn the fan on nothing happens.

The resistor module, and the plug connector, and known problems in 1999-2006 blower motors for many GM trucks.

Did you also change the connector at the same time?

Here is a step-by-step check you can do to fix it. If you are only getting high speed (setting 5), then most likely you have a resistor problem, or the wiring connector to the resistor is bad. The ground wire prong being bad is a possible cause.

Check this for step-by-step checks:
