The starter could be bad, assuming the battery terminal connections are clean and tight.

2001 honda civic wont turn over, battery-starter-good, timing belt good, engine will turn by hand but when attempting to start it just clicks. Im leaning towards the ckp sensor

The crank sensor only comes into play while the engine is cranking or running to tell the computer where TDC is.
A no crank issue would be only the starting or security system.
Do you have battery power at the starter when the key is in the start position ? Are the battery cables clean and tight on both ends ?

Car won't crank

No parts are ever replaced to resolve any vehicle issues

You have to proper test any vehicle systems that apear
to have a problem

Once all the answers are present, only then do parts get
installed if necessary

Things such as fuses & relays only fail here on these web site
blogs, for the most parts, way too much silly talk about nothing

Need to have the car at a repair shop that actually can diagnose
something

From what I see on this site from people asking questions,
that appears to be an issue also, finding a half decent shop
these days

Where is the starter located on a 2007 Chevy Impala? It just clicks when I turn it on and lights barely turn on and the air will turn on only when trying to jump the battery. Engine didn't turn on even...

Check the battery like this:
Turn on the headlights, then try to start the car.
If the headlights do not dim or go out, then the battery is likely ok.
Check that the battery cable plus post, goes to the starter, Minus post to a good ground, like the engine.
If wiring is ok, then look at the starter solenoid for a good connection.
Problem is most likely the Solenoid or starting relay, whichever the car uses.
Hope this helps.

My escort has a seized engine OR mechanic said it could be the starter gear?

TRY USING A 1/2 LARGE SOCKET AND 1/2 INCH RATCHET WRENCH TRY TURNING CRANKSHAFT PULLEY BOLT TO SEE IF ENGINE WILL TURN OVER IF SO ENGINE NOT SEIZED UP. IF ENGINE WONT TURN OVER MORE LIKELY ENGINE HAS SEIZED UP.IF ENGINE CAN BE TURNED USING A WRENCH CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE SHOULD BE 12.6 VOLTS. IF BATTERY GOOD REPLACE OR CLEAN BATTERY CABLES AND BATTERY POST TERMINALS. IF BATTERY AND CABLES OKAY. REMOVE STARTER AND HAVE STARTER AND SOLENOID CHECK OUT AT A AUTO PARTS STORES.TURN OFF RADIO FIRST BEFORE REMOVING NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.IF STARTER AND BATTERY GOOD PROBLEM IN THE IGNITION SWITCH OR THEFT SECURITY MODE IS ON DISABLING STARTER AND FUEL PUMP.

Car just clicks when tryingto start battery is good. Will not jump with another car

YOU HAVE A PROBLEM LIKE A LOT OF OTHERS BUT ITS EITHER,
the battery term on the = or+ on battery lead OR where the Earth lead on battery is fitted ORthe feed (+)on starter motor connection or the solinoid on starter,or starter jamed or engine siezed.
SO first jump start as +on battery on both cars and them (black lead)to a good earth on engine not on to battery on your engine, try to start if not fot red lead to starter motor feed and it should spin if not then replace the starter but first just turn engine over slightly by bottom pully,if it dosent turn then engine is no good.

When starting car starter turns engine over slow. battery seems to be good unless it doesnt have enough cranking amps. battery test is good altenator working good

It sounds like the battery don't have the cranking amps needed to turn the engine over fast enough. Even though it is starting, soon it will drain more and won't start.

Engine will not turn over. starter good. battery good

BATTERY CABLES COULD BE WORN OR CORRODED.THAT WILL CAUSE NO CRANKING PROBLEMS.IF ALL IS GOOD ENGINE COULD BE SEIZED OR LOCKED UP.TAKE A LARGE 1/2 RATCHET WRENCH. WITH A DEEP WELL SOCKET 15 METRIC SOCKET TURN ENGINE CLOCK WISE WITH SOCKET. .MAKE SURE LEAVE CAR IN PARK.IF IT WONT TURN.ENGINE LOCKED.

2001 Santa Fe possible starter problem

Yes, because the bushings wear out, causing the armature to hit the field under starting load.....dead short. Jumping gives you added amperage allowing the starter to work. (forcing it to work) Buy a new one.
P.S. DON"T RUN YOUR ENGINE WITH THE BATTERY DISCONNECTED!!!!!! You will cook your alternator........zzzzzzzzzzz!

Battery good, power to starter, engine won't turn over

The battery is good, interior and exsterior lights strong, volts good, but the engine won't turn over.
Any of the accessories will operate fine with a nearly dead battery and will only pull down the battery voltage at the terminals very little. A healthy battery will deliver at least 11 volts with all your lights, stereo, power windows, etc. operating at once.     If your lights are only dimming a little when starting, you may have an oxidized connection at the starter terminal so this needs to be checked too.
If the ground terminal (negative) is corroded where chassis and engine come together, this can drop too much voltage and, if bad enough, could shut down your engine too.

Engine won.t turn

hi can you turn engine over by hand [engine s not sezied ] and how did you test the battery and how did you test starter because if the engines not seized and you put a jump lead from your positive terminal off a good battery to a starters main terminal and it wont, turn over the starters faulty or there is no engine earth so connect the other jump lead from the negative battery teminal to the engine block and try again it will turn over if the starters good if the starter turns over with the jump leads check the small terminal on the starters wire is live when someone turns the ignition key if it is and the starter does not turn over then the soleniod on the starter is faulty if no live at small terminal then the ignition switch or starter relay are faulty best of luck yates2104546
