Question about 2005 Pontiac G6

1 Answer

I have a 2008 Pontiac G6 and it came with a remote keyless entry and remote start and the remote start is no longer working. When I try to start it the lights flash and the dash lights come on but it does now start. I changed the battery in the remote and the same problem is happening.

I think that the module for the remote start is bad, possibly the connection to the starter circuit is bad.

I would take the vehicle to an auto electric service shop in your area that installs remote starters to diagnose and repair the problem.

By following the instructions that came with it. If you do not have the manual go to the website of the maker of the system and download them, we do not them here.

2008 pontiac g6 remote entry not working

If the truck release doesn't work change the battery in the remote. Take the key ring off and use a small screwdriver to open it up and replace the battery. Also check the contact. They tend to flatten out, just gently pry the up to ensure good contact.

How can i start my car without Remote keyless entry?

Use the driver's door key cylinder> Lock and unlock the car with the key after all doors are closed and this should solve the problem. If not, then it has nothing to do with the RKE Transmitter.

Programing keyless entry for a 2006 Pontiac G6

Do not circumvent the process. Take all your FOBs to a Pontiac/GM dealer. Pay the $40ish to get it all done and walk away with officially programmed FOBs. There is no other way to do this unless you have the highly expensive scan tools they use. Just bite the bullet

Remote start

first make sure you have the keyless start entry setup. if u do then you need to lock the door with the transmitter after you lock the door press the start button and hold it down until it starts. It usually takes three or four seconds.

Self starter and keyless entry will not work even after i put in a new battery

it seems you have a problem with the communication between the remote and the car. Best solution will be to take it to the dealer so they can reprogram the remote to the car.
