My 1993 bonneville runs great for a while than it acts like its not getting gas u push the gas paddle and it does nothing but shuts off. it will start right back up we have changed fuel filter and put new...

I am not sure on yours , but the newer ones you can replace the pump from the trunk area. You don't have to drop the tank. To access the pump remove the spare tire cover and you will see the pump cover.

the fuel filter is located on the passenger side rear inner frame in front of the rear wheel area there is only this filter that needs to be changed.there is a filter in the fuel tank on the bottom of the fuel pump which is only changed when the fuel pump is changed

Acts like the fuel is shut off at times

Check fuel pressure in the fuel rail or replace the fuel pump in tank if fuel delivery problem persists.

I recently ran out of gas in my 1999 pontiac bonniville and ever since then it has been stalling at random at least twice a day what mite be the problem?

More than likely when you ran out of fuel the filter sucked up alot of dirt from the bottom of the gas tank. Probably need a fuel filter. Not sure on that car if the filter is inside the gas tank or not.

Car dies for no reason

I have a 1994 Bonneville and it to had trouble with it quiting while driving at low speed or slowing down and after doing a ton or resurch it turned out to be the EGR valve and it is a very common thing for the 3800 3.8. is expensive to replace and all the salvage yards that I went to did not have any on the motor so I had to buy one new $105 but in the end it was worth it. Until I could come up with the money I just took it off and sprayed carb cleaner in it and it would last a few weeks until it started to act up again. hope this helps every one.
