Go ahead and change it if it's coming out of the center. If it is seeping around the threads, you may be able to torque it in a little bit of a turn, to seal the leak.

Good luck on this repair.

The oil pressure switch screws into either the block or the cylinder head and has one lead on it. Check all of the wires on the side of the engine or back. I don't have the specific place, according to the literature, but a technician should be able to find it.

Zafira 2.0DTI 2004 diesel getting into the engine oil.The oil level keeps rising slightly and the oil pressure warning light keeps coming on when on tick over.

whatever the reason for diesel in oil is harmful as the diesel makes the oil thin and loose its ability to lubricate the engine properly.
1st it can be overfuelling and that would cause that alot of black smoke coming out of your exhaust especially when accelerating hard
2nd it can be that the injectors are not sealing properly and dripping fuel while the engine not running

Where is the oil pump on kia sorento 2004 2.5 diesel?

It could be in the sump, find the filter where it screws on and that will give you an idea, first check the oil pressure as it might be only a faulty switch, cheers hope this helps. If the oil pressure is low then it will be main bearings.

1994 Chevy silverado 6.5L turbo diesel: My oil pressure is between 40-60 for the first few miles on the road. then drops and seems to hold steady at around 40 while my foot is on the gas, then drops...

I'm not sure why you want to change the oil again. Your oil pressure numbers appear to be normal. Replace the oil cap if it's bad. You'll have to scan the ECM for codes to find out why the the check engine light comes on.

Getting diesel in oil

Sounds like you might have a bad fuel injector that is dumping fuel in a cylinder that is running down the cylinder into the oil. Could be a fuel pressure regulator that is not holding it's pressure causing fuel to do the same thing.

Is it running good? Smoke a lot?

My 2005 6.0 diesel f250 takes a little longer to fire compaired to the new diesel motors, how long is it supposed to take? or am i having a relay problem?

If you are talking about the new ford ford 6.4 diesel or cummins or duramax, it will take a little longer. They are common rail and pressurize the diesel directly with a pump, the 6.0 uses high pressure oil to pressurize the diesel in the injector. Because of the extra step it can take longer to start the engine.
