Question about 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier
If you have a voltmeter you can taety the battery voltage at the terninals. Harbor Freight selld volt meters for less than 5 dolars.
You can take the battery to Autozone and they will yest it for free. They may need to chatge it first.
If the Battery is dead you will first need to determine if it is any good. If it tests O.K. then you need to determine why it went dead.
This would require a test of the charging system
