1990 RamCharger The blinkers will work for once or twice then stop. There are no brake lights at all. The tail lights are working fine. The fuses are all good as are the bulbs. Whats up?

It is entirely possible that you have more than one issue.Perhaps you could fill me in as to whether the tail lamp issue and the turn signal issue occurred at the same time. For now a cheap remedy would be to replace the turn signal flasher as that is likely for the turn signals not remaining on. Let me know if this works....after this further diagnostics will be required.

Headlights work but not taillights. Only Passenger taillight works when you step on the brake

start by changing your tail light bulbs ( with the correct bulbs) and check the ground points for the lamp assemblies. are fuses ok?

The right tail light dusnt work i replaced the bulb but still no light

get a test light, remove the bulb, get a friend to push on the brake pedal while you check for power from the centre wire at the bottom of the bulb socket.
If there is power there you will have a bad earth, clean around the area where the bulb sits in the hole and try it again.
If it is a parking light, turn the switch on and check the wire for power, if no power at that point you have to move to the next switch point and check there for power
hope this helps

I have a 1986 Dodge Ramcharger. The tail lights don't work. All other lights function, brakes, turnsignal, headlights etc. Changed light switch, checked connections, changed bulbs. Still no taillights. Any...

check fuses. If fuses are good use a voltmeter at the connections to see if you are getting power. If you are not then you will have to run down a short in the wire.

1986 dodge ramcharger

Check for power with 12VDC test light at switch down at the brake pedal. Should have power on one terminal without pressing pedal, then press pedal and see if power going through switch to other terminal. If going in but not coming out, replace switch. Can use jumper wire between the 2 connectors to confirm brake lights come on.
