White smoke is a sign of water/condensation (due to the coolant additive)......worst case scenario, you have a head gasket leak (minor at this stage), or you simply need a tune up......as white smoke on cold start up could be normal...has it just started happening, or have you only just started noticing it ???

When was the last time it has been serviced (plugs, oil etc)

You have a leaking head gasket as well most likely, do you have a warranty? this is going to be a real ouch of a job cost wise, well over $1000.00 The longer you drive it this way the worse the damage

2005 dodge cummings has real bad miss and blows white smoke at idle and when driving

You might want to watch your coolant level. Open your radiator, fill it to full, and start the truck. If bubbles form, you might have a broken head gasket. Also, check to see how your water seperator and fuel filter are looking. But it sounds kind of like a head gasket.

White smoke from the tail pipes, rough idle in start up minimal driving will stop smoke and rough idle

i think you have a water leak maybe the head gasket is going bad any way gasoline produces water and is normal with cold weather.

Started my 2002 ford taurus this morning just fine. Let it run for about 15 minutes before leaving fo work. When I came out my car was idling very rough and white smoke would come out the back then...

Have it checked at your local garage. White smoke from the exhaust system.....normally means a cracked cylinder head gasket. I would check the oil dipstick to ensure that there is no coolant in the oil pan. Coolant in the oil pan could mean a cracked cylinder head......a more costly repair.

i would check all the basics like spark plugs and check for vacuum leaks around the intake manifold. With a can of 2+2 carb cleaner while engine is running --if idle goes up or down that is were your leak is--
check egr too, Lee

My engine runs rough and smokes excessively when the engine idles or you start to give it gas

BLACK smoke is unburned gas and is idication of a very rich intake mixture..

WHITE smoke is steam and is indication of a serious problem such as blown head gasket or a cracked head or both..

BLUE-ish smoke is oil and is indication of bad valve seals or pistion rings or both..

1992 gmc sierra turbo diesel starts and idles fine until warm up

It's time for a Italian tune up!

The blue smoke can be one of two thing.

oil drop from the valve stem (from engine head to cyclinders)
or
diesel soot collect inside the exhaust system.

===
I will take a 5-10 minutes high rpm (not redline) ran on the highway.
Pay close attention to the rear view mirror and look for black diesel soot.
=== I will use Diesel Cleen or similar product to condition the fuel. (keep moisture down)
Use the recommended amount of SEAFOAM oil additive to condition the valve stem seal/rubber parts.

I can not rule out excessive blown by.
Can you get a diesel compression tester?
When was the last valve adjustment?

Please post the actual odometer on the engine and I will follow up on it.
