You said it was under the distributor cap,now if it is where the distributor goes into the motor,it is called a distributor seal,or gasket. The distributor will have to come out to replace this seal,or gasket,I think it will be a o-ring(seal),it will be able to be ordered threw the auto parts store.

The distributor cap sets on the distributor,is the seal under the cap?if so there is most likely oil in the distributor, and this is the problem, the oil is covering,or trying to interfer with the reluctor in the distributor, the auto parts store can order you a remanufactured distributor .

If oil is under the distributor cap, then the oil is in the distributor ,replace the distributor to repair the problem, and yes, this would cause the engine to run like it is.

Won't run, got fuel, got spark from coil to distributer but will not fire. Tried new plugs, fuel filter and dust. cap. No go.

You may want to change your rotor bug in distrubtor,If this don't work you may have bent or wornout shaft goig down from distrubutor inside motor. But if your getting fire to the coil but not the distrubtor i think the rotor bug will fix it. Good luck to you.

In what order do the spark plug wires go in

this 2000 honda the wires go in like this, starting at the lestside thats cylinder #1 and then goes 2-3-and 4 as you move right, the dist cap if theres one and its not coil on plug inwhich there are no wires, the cap should be labeled 1234 and thats the way the wires go if there are no markings then you will need to find # 1 on the cap and the wires go 1342 on the cap, good luck.

Cant get any spark to plugs tech dont move while turning car over

Sounds like either a bad distributer or a broken timing belt. Pull dist. cap and crank while watching dist. rotor. if it is turning replace dist. assembly if not replace head, timing belt W/P and seals.

Honda accord 2 litre k reg no spark?

usually on these cars its the ignitor in the disrtibutor, take the cap of and see what manufacturer made the ignitor(hitatchi, nippon denso,mitsubishi,etc..)any parts store should have it in stock, there should only be 2 screws holdin it in the dist.,also if there is a red coloredpowder all over inside the dist. it should be replaced also. another problem could be the main relay which is another common problem, its mounted under the drivers side dash next to the steering column about knee height, its alittle bit of a pain to get to,its about 3" long and 1" wide, its big for a relay so its kinda hard to miss, give it a whack while crankin over the car and see if it fires up,if it does i believe this relay is still a dealer item, hope this helps

Over presure inside the engine so the distributor oil seal pushes by oil and spill,i already replace the valve cover but its the same.what possible solution can beat it?

on the dist shaft there is an oring that seals at the engine if you remove your cap and then mark your dist so that you dont change the timing ,then remove the distributor and you will see the oring on the dist shaft ,replace it ,they get flat and hard and wont seal any longer ,good luck !
