Why wont my truck wont start?

there is probably a filter screen where the gas comes into the carb. Remove the gas line and the nut it screws into on the carb to find the screen.

Why is my truck acting like its running out of gas once it is at constant speed?

Maybe your fuel injecter is plugging up with dirt, or one of the injecters are going bad

Truck would not excellerate pas ten miles now it wont start. when i play with the fuel restart button it starts rough and dies

See there were several postings. Was internal fuel tank screen good when pump was changed? Was disposable fuel filter changed? I had similar problems and it turned out that the internal filter screen broke apart and clogged the fuel lines.

The crankshaft sensor was also bad as fuel pump was tested during internal tank filter work.

Also check your injector wires. Even having fuel pressure is nothing if the injectors are not opening to let fuel into the cylinders.

1999 saab cranks wont start

Disconnect your fuel filter and turn the key on. If it shoots gas several feet away, then the start cycle on the fuel pump is probably good. if not, then get a new fuel pump. If it's good, then the problem will be in your fuel regulator, or injectors.

2003 chev pickup turns over but takes a long time to start. some times have to try two and three times. it is getting fuel, changed filter and pump. last time I took it to the dealer he charged 3,500 to...

check your fuel pressure regulator. its on your fuel rail. after you have had it runningpull the vacum line off of the fuel pressure reg and if you see fuel there its bad and needs to get changed and that being bad will cause a hard starting problem

My 92, chevy 5.7 v8 will start 4 a moment then dies pumping the gas doesnt really help either ive changed the spark plugs, wires & cap, fuel pump egr vavle, checked fuses & it still wont run

Sounds like the fuel pump. it is in the gas tank and rather pricey for the Chev. trucks. easiest to drop the tank and clean area around it really good first.

you can try to see if the fuel regulator is bad, sometimes there will be gas in the air cleaner\tube,it sounds to me that its getting too much fuel

1997 chev runs but seems like not getting enough fuel.

For about $20 or less, I would think a shop or parts supplier could do a fuel pressure test to confirm, but I'm thinking fuel pump needs replace.

Over fueling

Did you replace fuel filter...? If the filters all clogged up it wont matter if you changed the fuel pump cause it will burn the new one out also... Plus you use Sunnoco gas dont you??? Let me know about that and tell me if you changed fuel filter if not do that real quick.

Thanks,
Steve
