You may want to have someone do that for you
Does not sound as though cars are your area of expertise

SOURCE: ford ranger pick up 1994, 3.0

We were having the same problem with our '94 Ranger 3.0L 4x4. After replacing EVERY possible thing and almost to the point of giving up....we replaced the fuel pump and it runs like a champ again!

SOURCE: Wher do you install a cabin filter on a 2005 Ford Escape XLT?

Yes you have one and it runs about $15.00.

Looking for a picture for you but it should be in the engine compartment area, passenger side, just below the windshield on the firewall area...or JUST above it.

But looking for a picture for you. It states that you should change it about every 150,000 miles.

The air filter would have to be totally plugged to kill a running engine. Highly doubtful the air filter is causing your problem.

Check with your Ford dealer. As far as I know Ranger was normally not equipped/supplied with a Cabin Air Filter.

1994 Ford Ranger low power

Ok, it sounds as though your fuel pressure regulator or injector lines or injectors are leaking. What engine is in the vehicle? Is the engine light flashing? Does it start hard and blow smoke on startup?

How can we get to reducing consumption in the 1994 Ford Aerostar XLT passenger?

There's a bunch of things you can do. Start with a good healthy tune up, new filters (air, oil & fuel). Next make sure your tires are inflated to factory specs. Most neglected item on vehicles. Other suggestions, synthetic oil in trans, and wheel bearings greased w/synthetic grease. One last simple thing, every 3rd tankful pour in a bottle of STP gas treatment - keeps everything from fuel tank to injectors clean and running smooth. All of the above I can attest for..
