Question about 1989 Buick Century
Main switch at Drivers door has no 12 VDC at switch, Power Window Breaker at fuse panel checks good. How is wire routed from breaker to door switch? Is there any connection points or fuse in-line with this circuit? I don't have access to any wiring diagrams.
It sounds like a bad ground somewhere maybe a wire is shorting out . My windows wouldn't work so I just ran some wires from my battery and then unhook the two wires from the window switch and just touch the wires from the battery together with the switch wires and Presto the windows go up or down it is not very pretty but it is a lot better than spending a small fortune on window motors or switches or whatever . hope this helps

Check the wire bundle that runs between the drivers door and the door post. This door is the most used in the entire vehicle which makes these wires flex and eventually break. I had the exact same problem, did exactly what you did until I finally figured out the problem was not where the symptoms showed up. It is a very tight spot to do any kind of a repair, but I did it and so can you.
