Short in headlight switch or lamp control module. I think maybe the module is built into the light switch. It doesn't show a separate switch in the diagram.

92 cadillac seville interior ligths come on and off continually every minute until battery goes dead have done and check all the simple things as turning off dimmer

Check the door switches, they are the ones that turn the lights on when the door is opened, likely the drivers door courtesy light switch is defective.

Battery goes dead but when checked they say its still good but needs charged. Charge it and it goes dead again

Did they check the alternator? You also might have a drain on your battery. You can remove the negative cable from the battery, take a test light and connect one end of it to the battery (negative side) and touch the other end to the negative cable you removed. If the light comes on then you have a drain on your battery. You could then pull fuses one at a time until the test light goes out and that one (system) is most likely your problem.

I just encountered this exact problem tonight. The engine will start, but the alarm continues until I disconnect the battery. Nothing else works. Have you found any solutions, zenythe?

Try leaving the key on for 10 minutes until the theft light goes out. Then turn the key off, now turn it back on and see if it starts. If you have a battery charger, put a charger on it for the 10 min, it is sitting with the key on so the battery doesn't go dead.

I turn the key and the car goes dead. 1994 rodeo.

It does sound as if the battery is dead. If you are sure your battery is good, you may have a short in the starting circuit.
