1991 aerostar with blown head gasket, how do I drain the fuel tank

How do I drain the gas tank of my 1991 aerostar?
It has a head gasket problem, and no one will work on it, so I have to scrap it.
I have to drain the full tank of fuel before the scrap yard will accept it.

Be very careful if you poke a hole in the fuel tank, use a brass hammer to strike the punch or a spark could set the gas on fire.

If you're going to junk it, just "ice pick" the gas tank and have plenty of proper containers to put the gasoline in. I saw that happen when I was in a scrap yard getting parts. The ppl who run the place just poked a hole in the tank and let it empty into a barrel.

My vw car Audi Q7 is having problem of mix of both water and engine oil, know the car is not Starting and when diagonis it gives code UO 101 lost of communication with tcm.plshow can I solve it.

If it was running fine before, I wouldn't worry about the U code. U codes can be caused by changing the battery. Your water and oil mix needs fixed. Intake or head gasket is blown.

Does the 1999 chevy cavalier have a fuel pickup in the tank

Short answer is yes it does. It is part of the fuel pump module. There is a pick up screen on it. I would suggest draining any old gas out remove the pump module ,clean the screen and put in 3-5 gallons of good gas.

My motor runs very rough even with new spark plugs,, is there anything else I should check? and is it common for a headgasket to leak at 107 000km?

if the engine runs rough after spark plug replacement, you may have a clogged fuel injector perhaps. i would suggest that you purchase lucas fuel injector cleaner and add it to your gas. you may have also just bought some bad gas. if you suspect that, just add 1 bottle of clear rubbing alcohol{not green} clear rubbing alcohol to your gas tank.this will dry up any water thats in your fuel.it will not affect the engine at all. as for your head gasket, its something you cannot predict any mileage on,but you can prevent it by not letting your engine overheat. never run your engine hot. always keep your collant full.if you suspect a blown head gasket, here are some signs of a blown head gasket. oil in the coolant, coolant mixed in your engine oil{when you pull the engine dipstick out,it appears muddy looking, coolant coming out of your exhaust pipe.these are quite a few examples of a blown head gasket. hope this helps and thank you for choosing fixya.com

On the 91 tracker i told you about the head in new the head gasket is new and all new parts

i have seen many different things do this but the most likely culprit is a bad gas station
most stations have water in there fuel but some have more than others

run the fuel tank real low like almost empty then add some gas line antifreze to soak up tthe excess water in tank then fill up at chain gas station like chevron

large gas stations have strict guide lines for how much water to fuel they are allowe to have in there tanks this is why from time to time you will see a gas station closed for renovations but there is little or no work going on inside it is out at the pumps
since they drain the tanks and slean the pumps out then re fill the tanks and need to prime the pumps

little stations are notorious for pumping water since they arent watched so closely like the chain stations

also if you know a bussy station shop there as they are less likely to have water since they have a high turn over of fuel and there tanks are allways geting run down

likely it is water in the fuel

gasline antifreze better knowen as Isopropyl alcohol it will combine with water and draw it out of your tank

Do i need to pull the eng in a1991 Ford Aerostar Extended to rplace head gasket

I have a 2000 Acura TL 3.2. I had it checked out because I would take it for a short and when I go to start it it shakes and runs hard for a min then runs fine. I was told I needed to change the PCM, the fuel injectors and the fuel pressure regulator. I just want to know would this help the problem? I also have consulted with other machanics that I know and they say that it won't help the issue.

Whiletravelling down the road and accellerate i don't seem to getting power i should for the gas pedal i have down.

Hmmmm, Could be many things, but I would check ignition timing, distributor cap/wires/rotor, incorrectly gapped spark plugs, fuel injection unit...dirty or worn, faulty coil, brakes binding, automatic transmission fluid level, emissions control system, low or uneven cylinder compression pressures. Testing this will dedetect leaking valves and/or blown head gasket. I hope this helps...Adios
