02 xl-7 w/2.7. I have a tapping sound that sounds kind of like a lifter, that goes away mostly when fully warm and the check engine goes off and on.

Flashing check engine light is not a good sign. Things to check on your own would be plugs and wires. If you plugs are really far gone and you are not firing on all cylinder it will cause this to happen.

What kind of oil goes in a 1995 Ford Taurus and how much?

use the cheapest petrol/diesel oil you can and change it every 6000m with a new oil filter every third oil change ,synthetic or natural oil will do 20/50 10/40 not important do not pay a lot for the oil as you are only paying for the name and the additives which last a 1000m if your lucky ,Do as i say and the engine will last forever fleet fitters promise

When to change the engine oil

Manufacturers have been changing recommendations to make their vehicles appear to be better than others but bottom line on oil changes is that it's still best to change it every 3,000 miles. You can extend that to 4,000 if you use a quality synthetic. Always use a name brand good quality oil...cheaper oils have a high paraffin base that causes sludge deposits to form. I'd be using a 20w 30 or 40 oil in that engine. Always use a good name brand filter as well. Keeping the oil clean is very important. A poor quality filter allows larger particles to remain in the oil. Those particles are like sandpaper and are the primary source of engine wear. After completing the job, always run the engine and look under the car for leaks. A loose drain plug, forgotten plug gasket or an accidentally double gasketed filter can really ruin your day if not caught early.

I have a 1981 pontiac grand prix 3.8 engine whats the name of the part the oil filter goes on im leaking oil behind that part and need to name what that part is called so i can replace it

I'm not sure what your engine looks like, but 99% of the time the oil filter goes onto the engine block, nothing else.
I could believe there might be some intermediate part if you had some foreign car, but a Pontiac, I've got to believe there isn't anything there.
Maybe your missing a gasket?

When changing spark plugs, I find oil in the thread area. Only one spark plug got this problem, the others are clean. No overheating, no smoking, no oil usage! Maybe valve stem seal is leaking? Vehicle: A3...

it could be that oil has got in to the port where the plug goes when topping the oil up, hence goes on the tread when removing the plug try wiping the hole with the plug out or look down each to c if there is oil in that area, if the oil looks "burnt on th plug" you may have a crack in the head where the plug goes, if you are buning oil it would make the tip of the plug a different colour to the rest,

Change oil filter honda civic 2003

buy new oil filter, oil, and a new drain plug and gasket. the used plug is prone to leakage. remove drain plug and drain in a big enough pan for all the oil. oil filter is located on rear of engine. easier to remove from the bottom of the car. put oil on the seal of the new filter and hand tighten. replace oil plug with new gasket and plug and tighten to 33 foot pound. add oil that is required and start car. when oil light goes out shut car off and check oil add oil as needed.
