Not starting after new battery

Many Corollas had a "fuse holder" right at the positive terminal of the battery.
This plastic assembly has a 40, or 50 or 60 amp fuse about an inch from the battery post.
These assemblies were prone to failure, but do not need replacement.
All you need to do is take them all apart and clean them REALLY well, with a wire brush and/or sandpaper.
I have done this on many Corollas and Geo Prizms.
If that does not solve the problem, you many need a new or rebuilt starter.
God bless your efforts.

New battery, ran for 3 weeks now car will not start just clicks. why

Did you check the battery to see if it is up to normal 12.5 volts ?
Has the check engine light been on while the engine is running ?
Do you have headlights and warning lights on the dash when you turn the key to start ?

2005 Toyota Camry 4 cylinder intermittently won't start

try starting the car and while running disconnect the negative battery cable,if the car still runs turn on the head lights,if the car dies the alternator is weak. I think its weak and can charge the battery as long as the lights are off,but cant keep up when theyare on. so if drive most of the time in the day time you are ok as long as you dont have to start the car too many times. when you drive with the lights on and the engine slows to an idle like when you park the car dies. make sense?

My 1992 toyota corolla died and i can't get it started. i am in too deep...i'm a girl! it knocked off while i was driving. it tries to crank for awhile but engine doesn't turnover. then it started to click...

The slow turning of the engine indicates the battery is getting week. Gradually get so weak that only the clicking occurs. Next will be nothing at all because the battery is dead. Can be checked by turning on the lights. The battery can be dead because it was getting worn out or because the alternator was not charging it. It may not have been charging it because the alternator was bad or because the connections to the battery are corroded. Corroded connections at the starter motor should also be checked. Bad time to not have a boyfriend who understands such things. Good luck.

I have a 1996 Toyota Corolla that won't start

Radio and lights can work with weak battery, too weak to turn starter.

Noise when shutting off maybe dieseling due to fuel mixture too rich or timing off.

When you say car won't start do you mean starter turns but engine does not start, or do you mean starter does not turn.

2005 Toyota Corolla Car Alarm Problem

you may have to disconnect the battery for a minute or so ,this will reset the alarm. check your remote it does have a battery in it. otherwise you have to look for a fuse somewhere under the dash close to the fuse box.each one is diff. depending if it original toyota or aftermarket alarm.

Won't start

Sounds like either your battery is dying/dead or your starter has gone. You can take either or both to AutoZone and have them checked to see which has gone bad. They will check this for free. Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks for using FixYa!
