Changed coil and now uses alot more gas and smells terrible now

You may have a bad module under the coilpack. Did you apply white lithium grease to the bottom of the coil when you installes it? You may heve another bad coilpack which burned out due to a bad module underneath it.

It put putted and then died. It has a new battery however i think it needs new spark plugs. Im not sure.

With the age of the vehicle all ignition parts are suspect and most likely need changed. IE coil/coilpacks, wires, plugs.

Mixed up my rocker arms when replacing my head geasket

the arms for INTAKE should all match, and the arms for EXHAUST should all match. I dont think you can put them on wrong, if you are hitting a piston you need to verfiy the cam timing, I think that is where your problem is.
