These jeeps are famous for bad actuator motors, these are small motors used to control the heater door, you may have a bad one that controls the hot and hot door, it may be stuck on cold. also make sure your coolant is full , i dont see any other problem that would cause this, a bad thermostat would give some heat, it may take a while but you would get heat,i would first check the coolant level then check the blend door operation to see if motor is bad. hope this helps.

How do i replace/install a heater core for a 1999 limited edition jeep cherokee 4.0 liter 6cyclinder

I would make sure the core is the problem. You may have a heater control valve that cuts off flow to the core by vac. or a blend door that cuts off air flow thru the core.
You will need a shop manual to replace the core. The dash and console have to come out, along with discharging the ac.

Bad themostat, dirty radiator (the front of it), corroded interior core of the radiator, weakening water pump, bad radiator fan.....just to name a few. More than likely? Low antifreeze level, or the thermostat.

hi
your blend doors in the heater box are damaged or broken, try heatertreater.net they have a repair kit that doesnt involve removing the whole dash, its a diy kit than can be fitted in half an hour.
hope this helps

The fan works but my 2002 jeep grand cherokee wont blow heat what is wrong

It could be the thermostat or a plugged heater core. Check hoses going in to firewall after the vehicle has reached operating temperature for a drastic change in temperature if one hose is hot and the other cold or just warm your heater core could be plugged and would need to be flushed.

2002 Grand Cherokee heater warm on drivers side cold on passanger

generally this is caused by a "blend door " motor (actually a vacuum control) not working. I don't have a diagram on this but if you watch the motors mounted to the heater box under the dash, and operate the control, you likely will find one not moving (check all positions including a/c)

Defroster

The cooling system is fine along with the heater core. I finally took it to shop and the actuator that controls the regulator was inoperable. Instead of opening correctly it was just spining around completely without stopping. I have ordered parts and will have to take out the dash to replace the items.
