SOURCE: how do you change a chevrolet trailblazer

If you have to ask I would not recommend doing it. Its located inside the trans and there is a shift solenoid for every gear so you need to know which one has failed and if it s tranny issue or could be your ecu (which also controls the shifting). So have it diagnossed before repairing so you can perform the correct repair.

There is a solenoid that open and closes with 12 volts, usually located close to the fuel filler tube area. This open to allow you to fill your tank, then closes after some inputs for the computer are satisfied, and then a pressure sensor verifies the system is working. First, make sure the cgas cap is tight, and if the light doesn't go away in a couple days of normal driving, get the solenoid checked.

Hello had the same problem in my 2006 Isuzu I-280 I needed to
replace at this moment the Evaporative Valve Soleniod which is instaled next to the Vapor Canister. It is mounted on the frame behind the gas tank you will have to move the spare tire out of the way one bolt holds it in place this is where the canister is and the valve is mounted on the canister this is where it is mounted on my 2006 I-280. If you need to replace the solenoid and you can't find the original Isuzu part, you can ask for the 2006 Chevy Impala V-6 3.5 Purge Valve Solenoid. It is the same piece. The old Evaporative Vent Valve Solenoid has a number part PA-GF30, and it is the same part number I found in the new Chevy Impala Evaporative Vent Valve Solenoid.

Replaced air check valve and air pump 06 trailblazer 4.2 and error p2431 came back any help would be appreciated

The problem could be a connector, the wiring, or the sensor that is built into the solenoid valve mounted on the exhaust manifold.
The solenoid is a dealer part.
You may need a dealer mechanic with a scanner to track it down.

Po442 and po449 codes, gas cap checks ok what is next

P0442=Evaporative Emission System Leak Detected (small leak)
P0449=Evaporative Emission System Vent Valve/Solenoid Circuit
The first reason this would show up on a car as new is yours would be someone is not turning the gas cap at least three clicks past tight. The computer runs random vacume checks on the breather line to the fuel tank,if the cap is not tight it can't create vacume.and will fail the test. The second would be a cap replacement,The third would be a purge valve or line leaking.
