Question about 1994 GMC Sierra
Typical sign of the transmission is in need of repair, GM trannys are well known for acting like yours, it will hold first gear and shift to second at about 40 mph, if you let off the gas, it feels like neutral (no engine braking) it will get worse, I tried changing the filter and solinoids, after a $150 I still had the same problem, I found a rebuilt with w two year warranty ($700) and it's been great. Of course I installed it myself.
