Light on dash shows amber engine

Depending on the year of the car. 96 and newer?..... That light means the engine computer has received an error code. Any local parts store will read the code for free and tell you what you need to replace... In most cases it will be a bad sensor or an ignition misfire.

I have a 2002 kia sedona. The engine light came on autozone said its a incorrect purge flow how can i fix that ? thanks in advance Jose...

sometimes you can get this error if the gas cap is not on correct. Make sure your click the cap at least 3 times. I have had this on my exact same vehicle, received the purge error and it was the gas cap.

95 caddlilac seville STS getting horrible fuel economy.

You will see shorter service life of those O2 sensors with that kind of mileage. I would also suspect that the injectors are seriously worn if original. a few things to also look at that tend to throw 02 codes:

1: MAP OR MAS sensors,
2. worn timing chain
3: Restricted air intake (filter, or leak between MAS sensor and Intake)
4: Engine coolant thermostat (if the engine never warms fully, the mixture will be overly rich)

The O2 sensors tend to get wiped out by too much or too little fuel, too much in your case. you have to find the problem of fuel delivery or it will kill any O2 sensors you replace.

Have you performed a compression check? in some cases the piston, or rings have failed and allowed a large amount of fuel to enter the crankcase oil.

The check engine light also monitors the deairate system of the gas tank. On the undercarriage (below the drivers seat) are 2 rubber tubes which get briddle over time check those for cracks. If you don't find any it is probably necessarry to empty the gas tank complety, make sure the engine is cold and pressurize the whole fuel system with smoke in order to find that leak.

A blinking air bag light might indicate a broken insulation on one of the wires of the wire harness wrapped around the steering column(inside a black plastic cover). To access it it would be necessarry to remove the steering wheel.
