Question about 2004 Oldsmobile Alero
The traction off comes on when the abs light is on to show it has been disabled. The traction control uses the abs sytem to help control it.The most common reason that this happens is a bad wheel speed sensor which is all part of a bearing hub assembly. You can also check the wires going to the abs sensors to make sure none of them were damaged. You may need to have the vehicle scanned to find out which sensor or what is disabling the abs.
