The heater core is unservicable which has to be changed out.........And yes it would be antifreeze which passes through your heater core......Hope this helps you out.

I have a 2004 GMC Envoy 2WD 6 cylinder 4.2 liter engine The car has 150,000 miles and we were told that rear heater leaks and it will cost for the replacement part $1,240.00. Is there a way to repair...

if you are handy you may be able to take out the rear heater core and take it to a radiator shop to test and repair the leak,,,other than that you can probably find a used one for alot less ,last you can do what the dealer suggested, just block off the lines going to the rear heater and just use the front heat...good luck with the repair!

I believe the rear heater cord has a leak. no visible leak, just the antifreeze smell when the rear heat is on. where is this heater cord located and estimated cost to replace also , any recall?

You only have one heater core and its located up front. If you smell it in the back its all the same vent system.

Heater cores are usually less than 50 bucks but the cost to install varies depending on who does it. Best bet is it call for an estimate,
No recall on this issue

Heater core or blower motor?

Sounds like your blower motor , you heater core is a non mechanical part and if it were the issue you are correct in thinking you would see fluid on the floor or mist on the windshield.
