Question about 2006 Chevrolet HHR
There is no fluid, it is an electric motor. i had the same problem on mine. It is the same power steering pump that was recalled on the cobalt but there has as of yet been no recall on the HHR! I had mane changed for around $200 at the dealership. If it gets recalled I will get a refund. If you go somewhere else you will only get the part refunded, not labor!

Check the fluid level first, if its good then you may have a componet problem.
Their is a hydralic pump that nay not be operating properly. it can be tested by a garage to determine if its the pump operation or the cylinder.
