Why is my truck making a chiming sound and then the check gages light will flash

The chiming sound is to get your attention that something is wrong. Most likely the oil pressure dropped for a short period of time. Add oil to the engine. My 5.9 Liter durango did that and was almost 2 quarts low and would chime when I came to quick stop

Well if the ABS light is still on when you turn the car off you might want to check the brakes especially if you have drums in the back. check the oil level too. also the oil pressure guage might be bad along with the abs sensor.

How do u reset oil light after changing oil

Hello Jw.
  1. Turn the ignition to ON, with the engine off.
  2. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal slowly three times within five seconds. The reset is complete when you hear the chimes and the CHANGE OIL light goes out. However, if the light stays on and no chime is heard, you will need to repeat the reset procedure.
  3. Turn the key to OFF. If the CHANGE OIL light comes back on when you start your vehicle, the engine oil life system has not reset. Repeat the procedure.
There you are, thank you for using FixYa.
