There are a bunch of possibilities that it could be, so you will have to better diagnose this before spending money on repairs.

The car shaking can be from a long list of faulty or worn equipment.
1. Check the wheel balance. Your wheels can make your whole car vibrate if they are not balanced.
2. Check your wheel bearings. (Both 1, and 2 will increase with the speed of the car, not the engine.)
3. Motor and Transmission mounts (This will usually be with the RPMs of the engine)
4. CHeck your brakes.
5. You may need a transmission service too. (sometimes a fluid change will iron everything out)

What could cause HHR front end shake?

At what speed does it start to shake? Does it get worse, the faster you drive? Does it make a difference if you are going straight or turning left or right?

98 ford windstar front end shakes while accelerating

a good thing to check would be your inner and outer tie rod ends. if they are going bad they will cause a lot of shaking in the car and will also cause the front end to be out of a lined which will make your tires wear faster and uneven

At 40 mph the car starts to shake. It last to 5o

I have this same car with exactly the same problem. Begins shaking at 40mph and stops shaking as soon as you let off the gas, but then begins again as soon as you press on the gas and smooths out as you get over 50. And the shaking is not felt through the steering wheel. Solution: Replace the transmission mounts. There are two of them, one on each side mounted on the frame right next to the shock strut. There is also a front and rear engine mount, but I replaced the two as described and shaking is gone.

Front end and steering wheel shakes

Most common problem would be tires are out a balance. Or, the tires are out of round ( meaning the tires have a hop to it; not completely round ).

Car shakes when I go over 45 mph

Did you have this problem before you got the tires? Sounds to me like the tires need to be balanced.
