There was a re-call for Trailblazers for this problem. Check with your dealer on any recalls regarding this.

I have a 2003 ford taurus and I smell gas fume sometime. I looked under the hood and under the car no leaks

Gas will evaporate almost immediately. You have to inspect every inch of the fuel system with the engine running looking for wet spots and stains.

Gas leak under the hood

One thing that comes to mind is the fuel lines going to the gas tank.
It could also be the vapor canister which holds fumes from the tank.

Found a pressurized gas leak under the hood of my car, what could it be?

Hi there are only a few things really it could be, the main fuel lines run down that side of the car so id start by checking where they exit the firewall and go up to the fuel filter. It will either be a loose hose clamp or a split fuel line. Pretty much just check the fuel lines from the firewall to the entry of the engine and you cant go wrong just be careful of fumes around a warm engine

Extreme fuel smell coming from engine, no leaks underneathe the 2002 Ford Taurus. What could be leaking. Already replaced vapor canister.

if you can not find a fuel leak under hood, then check for a bad fuel pressure regulator. if it goes bad it will emit gas fumes under hood. is the check engine light on!! if so it may be the regulator or another leak. also check the evap system, could be a bad or broken hose ( underhood ). check all fuel lines from front to back.

My 2003 GMC Envoy XL is leaking oil on the passenger side of the engine. What could it be? I am in the military and currently deployed and I do not want my wife to get taken for a million dollar ride at...

Ask the wife if it is really oil or something more like steering fluid/transmission fluid/transfer case or worse front axle assembly. Bottom line, someone has gonna to crawl under there first to get a 20 on the leak. those engines are so packed under the hood, very little can actually be seen from above.

I have gas spewing under my hood on my 2005 cavalier, the fumes are bad inside the car an when the hood is lifted you can see the gas pouring all over, what could this be? an what does this normally cost to...

sounds like u either have a loose hose or a broken hose
look for hose going from gas tank to engine
check for any breaks or loose connections
if you find nothing than check carb for any leaks
if broken hose u can replace it for around $2.00 to $10.00
depending on how much hose and clamps u need
if it's not the hose then it could be carb-check bottom of carb and sides for any gas leaking out
do all this with motor turned off
once u find problem-start engine and see if u have any other leaks

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON

My guess is you have a leak either in the fuel tank itself or in the plumbing from the cap down to the tank. Have you ever been in a wreck?

When fueling the vehicle, do you see any gas leaking out under the vehicle?

Does the area where the gas cap screws in have any damage that would allow a leak to occur?

Another area to look at is the system that recycles gas fumes back to the gas tank.

Something is not allowing the tank to hold pressure.

Smelling gas

those cars have had numerous problems with leaking fuel injectors, the problem is that its hard to find due to the heat of the engine drying the fuel up before it can make a visible drip or stain. Please address this quickly due to the danger of fires.
