you need to have a pulley puller to get the pulley off if you don't have one most auto zone part stores have a loan a tool program and they can help you with that on most powersteering pumps the high pressure line will be a fitting or bolt on and the return line is usually just a squeeze clamp hope this helps good luck

first, you will have to buy the special water pump removal tool available at most auto part stores for about $35. Next, drain the cooling system from the radiator and remove the upper & lower radiator hoses. At the lower radiator hose connection, there is a housing with 5 bolts. (before you go that far, remove the drive belt off of the water pump pulley by inserting a 1/4" ratchet into the tensioner to remove the belt)

Remove those 5 bolts and separate the housing. You now have access the the water pump. With the special tool & a 1/2" ratchet or breaker bar, turn clockwise to remove the water pump. The remainder of the steps is the reverse of removal. Make sure you use a new o-ring on the new water pump and put RTV sealant on the housing to prevent leaks. While you're at it, it's not a bad idea to replace your thermostat and hoses to make it a complete, thororugh job.

Try Item #1 first it is the easiest.
Then Check the small water pump belt, it is not the serpentine belt.
The next step is to either check the Block with the following block tester available from NAPA
The part number is 700-1006
or change the thermostat dealer cost about 60.00 AUTOZONE about 40.00 You will need to purchase the Gasket with which ever you purchase from.
