Sounds like a factory alarm, it will happen if, for instance, you lock your car with your remote, but unlock it with your key. Try using your remote to lock and then unlock your car. If that doesn't work, unhook the negative terminal of your battery, as soon as you reconnect it, the alarm should go off again, lock and unlock it with your remote and that should fix it.

Also, iots possible that you need to check and re-check all wiring connections, use this link diagrams for the specific model.

Hope helps; keep us updated.

2001 kia sephia won't turn over, no noise when key turned. Car was tuned off to run into store. Came out to start nothing. Can't hear starter, fuel pump nothing makes any sound.

Make sure it's in park, or neutral if manual tranny. Make sure battery connections are tight and clean. Check starter relay and check ignition switch electrical portion to ensure it's getting current from the battery to the relay.

Disable or reset car alarm on 2001 kia sephia

During a blizzard i lost my keys (with beeper) in the snow and only had my spare key in the house so when i opened my car the alarm kept going off every few seconds, after a lot of searching i found a solution:

If it is factory alarm simply disconnect the negative terminal of your battery and put your key into the ignition and turn it to the ON position, then reconnect the negative battery terminal and start car, alarm should be off and reset. worked for me :) hope this helps others in my situation.
