Question about 2001 Pontiac Aztek
Hello, The lid of my Pontiac Aztek will not open with either the remote or with the release button inside. Is there a way to open the lid manually so I can get into the trunk ?? Thank you.
Adding to the guest's comment, mine did the same thing too, taking the fuse out will reset the computer system.
Although it works, it's only a temporary fix. It's eventually going to get worse. Turns out Azteks are notorious for the Body Control Module going out.
I just went through a nightmare with mine and finally got it replaced.
It should resolve most the problems as it did with mine, but now ours is blowing fuses and the radio has locked itself thinking it's been stolen (and so a new journey begins)
Good luck, friend...I feel your pain!

Mine is a piece of **** too. If these two are not working then probably the key in the cylinder is not working either. Oper your hood, on the right hand side above the battery is the main fuse box, find fuse # 28 should be 10amp, pull it ot for at least 30 seconds and replace. It should open for you. Most likely this will start happening more and more though, mine is. And now the A/C will kick out withit too. I think this is a lead up to the computer going out later on. I'm starting to have a terrible time of it......Good luck and I hope it helps at least temporarily.
