2001 Hyundai Elantra - All four windows inoperable

All four of my windows stopped working at the same time, later the master window switch was making some funny noises. I replaced the master switch, the fuses are all good, and I can't find a loose connection....what next?

1. Remove the switch from the door trim panel. 2. Check for continuity between the terminals. If continuity is not as specified in the table, replace the power window switch. POWER WINDOW MAIN SWITCH 2001 Hyundai Elantra - All four windows inoperable - caeb1ca.gif 77eecfc.gif 66921fc.gif

Wiggle the wires going into the door from the pillar where the door hinges are while trying to put the window up or down if nothing happens then change the master switch.

could be the driver side master window switch... if the driver side window switch assembly is broken then the windows will not work... try using a test light to see if you got power to the with and and ohm meter to check all four switches on the drivers side

The front passenger window only goes down but not

it's working from the drivers side. i would assume the passenger switch is bad or there is a wire disconnected from the switch.

All four windows will not work, changed the door window control panel. Power mirrors on same panel are working. fuse is OK.

Take your vehicle to an authorized Hyundai dealership and pay the diagnostic fee... they will tell you exactly what the problem is and the cost of parts/labor to fix it... at least this way you'll know what the problem is and what's required to fix it.

2001 elantra master power window switch

at the bottom and top of the switch there are retaining tabs. you can try to pop it out at those points with a flathead screw driver, but it is sometimes easier to just remove the door panel to get it out.

check for any circuit brakers near the fuse box, if theres any of them reset them by introducing a paperclip in the small hole and press, you will hear a click.
