It sounds like you very likely have an air pocket trapped in your coolant system.You might also want to check for signs of coolant seepage anywhere on the motor/trans.My best advice would be to remove the cap when cold and top off your coolant, then perform a pressure test on the vehicle to see if you're loosing any coolant anywhere.I hope I could help, Rate me accordingly, Thanks!!
